Pole Pole Foundation (POPOF)
The Pole Pole POPOF is a non-profit organization with a socio-ecological focus operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Created in 1992 under the initiative of Mr. John Kahekwa, a conservationist and expert on the Grauer's gorilla subspecies, POPOF is structured as follows:
A sustainably preserved biodiversity with a particular emphasis on the Grauer's gorilla subspecies.
Establish resilience mechanisms for forest ecosystems as well as for local communities in order to secure the future of wildlife and local populations.
Collaborative and inclusive, participative and associative.
Contribute to the sustainable coexistence between the conservation of protected areas and the interests of local communities.
